Sensa Reviews

While dieting is an ongoing challenge for some we all try to look for the easiest way to produce the fastest results. Sensa hit the market and has been tried by many, and when a product hits the market reviews will be conducted. Reviews can come in with results of  being good or bad. The reviews allow you to assess how something might work for you, and hopefully allowing you the option to selectively decide if it is something that would be beneficial to your lifestyle changes.

Sensa,  claims to produce weight loss by working with your brain and taste buds by telling them that you are full.

The reviews of  Sensa are mixed. Not an over abundant claim of huge successful weight loss results, but over six months, a claim of 30 plus pounds had been lost. This particular statistic does not say if there were many individuals involved in the weight loss or if it was just one individual. If the produced results were for one individual it may be a considered a considerable amount of weight loss in 6 months, but for more than one individual that would be a mixed review.

Another Sensa review stated that a lot of people still ate the same amount of food, if not more, and did not see positive results.

As there have been negative Sensa reviews, there have also been positive reviews, one in which consisted of successful weight loss while incorporating a newly implemented exercise program. Was it the exercise that took the lead in producing results alone or was it  Sensa incorporated with the exercise that produced the weight loss.

Another customer review reported that no exercise program was incorporated with  Sensa and Sensa did not promote less of an appetite. While another commented they love Sensa and would recommend it and it has been successful for them. With another customer review that the diet really worked great for them.

Side effect of sensa are reported headaches, throat pain, stomach pain, high blood pressure, many reports of nausea, insomnia, and one report with a trip to the emergency room.

Sensa was developed by a Dr. Alan Hirsch. A medical doctor who did years of research on how to create Sensa to work as a diet supplement by creating a fullness feeling. It is recommended that when considering buying Sensa or incorporating any diet product into a daily regimen it should always be researched, and before beginning any diet it should be approved by your physician.

There actually was a clinical trial of Sensa. Done by an independent lab to test Dr. Hirsch’s results. It was a double blind study, meaning that even the researchers didn’t know who was using the Sensa until the end. In that study, the participants who used Sensa lost an average of 27.5 pounds. The control group actually gained an average of a half pound. In Dr. Hirsch’s study, there were 1436 people in the control group. The control group in his study only lost 2 pounds, on average. Meaning that in both versions, in both the control and the treatment groups, there were people who lost more and people who lost less than that, averaging out to about 30 pounds each.

I researched this product quite a bit before I bought it and only then, on the free trial (of course they charge you shipping and handling and try to up-sell you to a discounted package if you “buy now”).

I have tried so many things, only to have them fail because I lose track of points, forget to follow steps, lose interest due to hard work with next to no results. Am I lazy? Absolutely. This is the laziest way I could find to lose weight. No change in diet? No adding exercise? Count me in! That said, I really didn’t expect it to work. At all.

So far, I have had no side effects, can’t tell any difference at all. So I was getting mad because the first day I gained a pound. Then I remembered that the booklet that comes with it says that it works on the portion of the brain that governs satiety. In other words, not feeling fuller, but feeling *satisfied* with what you have eaten. The number two instruction after sprinkling the stuff on is to pay attention to how you feel. I am a very “yum” driven person, so I have a tendency to overdo it when I am not even truly hungry. I just want to continue eating something because I love the taste, the texture, whatever. So far, I have just been stopping before taking seconds and thinking, “Do I really want another serving?” It’s a very subtle effect but I liken it to a food being too rich. You love it but after a point, you are kind of sick of it and really don’t want anymore. That’s what Sensa has done for me. Could I have done it on my own? Yep. I’m a stress eater though so I often mindlessly eat which does not bode well for self control.

I have only been using the Sensa for a few days, so it remains to be seen how effective it will be in the long run. They do change up the “scents” each month so you don’t get used to it and start to ignore the sense of feeling satisfied. On day two, I weighed and discovered that I had not only lost the pound I had gained previously, but two more. As long as I keep having those results, I will keep using Sensa. All of the ingredients listed are FDA approved. Which doesn’t say a lot, but I also recognize all of the ingredients on the list as things I consume in other foods. What I can’t figure out is the “Natural and Artificial flavors” because Sensa is actually completely tasteless. It has the texture of powdery popcorn salt (actually looks like finely ground salt) but dissolves instantly and truly doesn’t change the taste or texture of the food. It does make is smell subtly different. The “salty side” of the tastants shaker has a peppery scent, but you really have to sniff to smell it and the “sweet side” smells a lot like little girl lip gloss, kind of fruity but indistinct.

Sorry about the long response, but I wanted to give a thorough description for anyone looking for a review from an actual user. I will happily update whether I continue to lose as I continue on the program. I will also share any side effects I may have. I hate shelling out money for diet scams that don’t work. So if this works, I totally want to share that with other people too. I haven’t got a lot of disposable income, so getting real reviews from real people really helps me decide where I want to risk my money. Hopefully this will help other people to decide too. Because if you aren’t going to pay attention and ask yourself, do I really want any more?, then you probably aren’t going to lose weight with this stuff.

Since Sensa is based on sense of smell to work, is it possible that it works in proportion to how good your sense of smell is? Does it work on mouth breathers? The reviews I’ve seen of it so far are so mixed, that it seems like it must work on one sort of person and not on another — the question is: What is the dividing criteria?

Thanks for the review. My Mom and I were speaking on the phone today and she asked if I’d heard of Sensa. I hadn’t really and she started to explain she’d seen it on TV, a miracle weight loss product, etc. I asked if she or my brother or sister, all who live in NM were considering using it. She thought maybe all of them. I warned her that all these so called miracle weight loss products make claims that usually are unfounded. I did a Google search and found your review which now gives me some good information to pass back to Mom when I next talk to her.

Any update from Heather with the lengthy, but helpful comment? I’d love to hear how she is doing. I just found out that a friend I haven’t known long lost over 60 lbs recently. I saw a before pic and was shocked. Today she told me about Sensa and how great it worked for her. She said it made her eat less and the weight has stayed off. Her husband is doing it now and already lost 20 lbs. I’m thinking I want to try it. I’m going to let my husband look at it with me.
